A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon, N.D., with visitation starting at Noon for Grant W. Nelson of Langdon and St. George, Utah, who passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, at the age of 98. Inurnment will be at Union Cemetery in Osnabrock, ND. He was survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty L. Nelson; his three daughters, Julie Nelson of St. George, Utah; Gail (Robert) Stokes of St. George, Utah; Carrie (Jay) Carter of Taylorsville, Utah; and their two grandchildren, Ceanne Carter of Murray, Utah, and Austin Carter of Taylorsville, Utah.

Wayne French, a man whose life radiated faith, kindness and quiet strength, passed away peacefully April 29, 2026, at the age of 84. Born to Webster and Sarah French of Osnabrock, N.D., Wayne was one of five (very tall) brothers.

A funeral service will be held June 11, 2026, at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at St. George Catholic Church in Cooperstown, N.D., for Delenore (Del) Damus Edward Chaput, 92, a longtime resident of Cooperstown, who passed away peacefully surrounded by family at St. Catherine South in Fargo on May 30, 2026. He will be laid to rest alongside his wife, Evelyn Chaput.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior on June 11, 2026, at St. George Catholic Church in Copperstown, N.D., for Evelyn Mae Chaput, 91, a longtime resident of Cooperstown, who passed away peacefully surrounded by family at St. Catherine South in Fargo on March 8, 2026.

A memorial service will be held June 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Walhaleconomics la Lutheran Church in Walhalla, N.D., for Marjorie V. Pitcher, 73, of Walhalla, who passed away on December 10, 2025, in Walhalla. Interment will be held at the Hillside Cemetery in Walhalla following the service.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2026, at the Langdon Masonic Center in Langdon, N.D., with visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. and a Time of Sharing at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2026, also at the Masonic Center, for Dennis Hansel, 81, who passed away May 18, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Langdon.

A funeral service was held May 26, 2026, in Walhalla, N.D., for Joyce Elaine Carson-Foisie, 91, of Walhalla, who went to be with Jesus on May 19, 2026. Joyce was born May 10, 1935, near Leroy, N.D., the daughter of Otenious and Sarah (Sisson) Hendrickson.

Funeral services were held May 27, 2026, at the Presbyterian Church in Langdon, N.D., for Janis Sue Kana- Mackey, 71, of rural Hampden, N.D., who passed away May 20, 2026. There will be a private burial at Storlie Cemetery near Hampden, N.D. Memorials are preferred.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Maple Manor Care Center Chapel in Langdon, N.D., for Lillian Meling, 96, of Langdon, who passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 8, 2026, at Langdon Prairie Health in Langdon, N.D. Burial of ashes will be at Milton Memorial Cemetery near Milton, N.D.
